Every engine leaves our Glendale, AZ shop bolted to a steel cradle, crated, shrink-wrapped and insured for its full value. Flat-rate freight by zone, so you know the cost before you order.

Delivery options

Terminal pickupIncluded

You pick up at your local freight terminal. Their forklift sets the crate in your truck bed. No fees, fastest, and the crate never rides a liftgate.

Residential liftgate delivery

The driver lowers the crate to your driveway on a liftgate and pallet-jacks it to your garage. You'll need an engine hoist or a few friends to lift it off the pallet.

Going straight to a shop with a dock or forklift? Give us their address and we ship commercial, no extra fees.

How it's packed

Engine bolted to a steel shipping cradle through the motor-mount or bellhousing bosses. It cannot shift or tip.
Plywood and 2×4 crate around the cradle, banded to a 48×40 pallet.
All openings capped and taped: intake, exhaust ports, water pump, crank snout, dipstick. Oil drained, no fluids.
Shrink-wrapped, with "FRAGILE — DO NOT STACK" and inspection instructions on every side.
Photographed at every step before the crate is sealed. You get the photos by text or email the day it ships.

Crating is $175 per engine and is already included in the zone rates above. Cradles are returnable for a $100 credit if you ship them back.

Insurance & receiving

Every shipment is insured for the full invoice value. Freight carriers only cover a few dollars per pound on their own, so we buy declared-value coverage on every engine.

When it arrives, before you sign:

Walk around the crate. Look for crushed corners, torn wrap or a broken band.
If anything looks off, write "DAMAGED" on the delivery receipt and take photos before the driver leaves. That one note is what makes a claim pay.
Call or text us at (602) 510-9021 right away. We handle the claim with the carrier; you don't have to.

A delivery receipt signed clean means the carrier accepts no responsibility, so please do look it over first.

Timing

Transit is usually 3–7 business days once the engine leaves the shop.
You get the tracking (PRO) number the day it ships. The terminal calls you to schedule pickup or delivery.
Build lead times are listed on each engine's product page and confirmed on your quote.

Cores & return shipping

Rebuilding your engine? Ship it to us the same way: bolted to a pallet, oil drained, openings capped. We'll send you a prepaid freight label at the same zone rate, or you can drop it at the shop.
